This Trans-Generational recipe is passed down from mother to daughter, hand pounded by a team of colourful ladies and meticulously packed in glass bottles.
The hand crafting of Bottle Masala is a dying art which is carried out in summer, when the warm weather is conducive to drying spices and outdoor production. 
This tradition is practiced by the East Indian community, the indigenous people of a city called Bombay.
